After we stripped the dead suspect and tested him for drug and alcohol use and then dug under his finger and toe nails for any incriminating DNA, we checked his blood-soaked clothes for any kind of evidence of wrong doing. All we found was 34 cents and a couple of baseball cards. …
That’s it? Gretchen Carlson asked dismayed.
Seems to me that something was obviously missing: why wasn’t there a receipt for the pop and candy? …
We at the Sanford Police Department asked the exact same question, Gretchen, Chief Bill Lee explained.
We concluded that the suspect must have stolen the candy and tea, and in my mind that bolstered Mr. Zimmerman’s self-defense claim.

Gretchen Carlson and Chief Bill Lee explaining their justifications for Zimmerman’s actions

I think I’m done with this case now. I’m washing my hands of it, because justice isn’t being served. Zimmerman wasn’t detained, he’s gone missing, Trayvon’s been completely dehumanized (stripped, tested for drugs/alcohol and violated for incriminating DNA while the killer roams free??) and apparently, he’s the suspect now.

(via dank-potion)

Good to know I should keep all of my receipts forever to prove I didn’t steal something after I’m murdered. I guess we aren’t allowed to refuse or toss receipts that we know we won’t need.

Is this real life?! sigh…

Amen to that.

I hope that Rick Santorum is followed around by the popular girls from the local middle school, and every time he tries to speak, they say “Ew.” “Seriously.” “So gross.”

Ooh, baby, the way you ask for verbal consent before you try something new is a MAJOR turn on.

“Why extremists always focus on women remains a mystery to me...but they all seem to. It doesn’t matter what country they’re in or what religion they claim. They want to control women. They want to control how we dress. They want to control how we act. They even want to control the decisions we make about our own health and bodies' - Hillary Clinton
